Roots of Truth Initiative is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 41-4785602) that provides investigative genetic genealogy (IGG) services to law enforcement agencies and medical examiners at no cost, with the goal of identifying unidentified persons and advancing cold cases and violent crime investigations.
This website is provided for informational purposes, to facilitate case referrals from law enforcement and medical examiners, and to support our fundraising and donor engagement efforts. You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict the use of, this site by any third party.
The Case Inquiry form is intended solely for use by law enforcement agencies and medical examiners submitting eligible cases. Submission of a case inquiry does not guarantee acceptance of a case. All accepted cases proceed under a formal, signed case agreement, and all work is performed in accordance with protocols aligned with U.S. Department of Justice guidance on forensic genetic genealogy.
Donations made through this website are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Roots of Truth Initiative is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law. All donations are voluntary and non-refundable except as required by law or at our discretion.
